Why I Write?
My professors always tell me the best journalists are the ones who write everyday
How I Get Unique Writing Inspiration
Almost all of my ideas for my blog came from sitting in a lifeguard chair at 4 AM over the summer. There wasn’t much to do but observe the deserted pool and think.

How it all started
It all started in my senior year engLish…
Writing was always a strong suite for me. I kept many journals throughout my high school career, and my parents influenced me to fill them. i’ve always loved the idea of memories to look back on. But especIAlly old journal entries of 13-year-old me thinking the world was cruel because my eigHth grade boyfriend could not come over.
my favorite part of reading back on those entRIes wAS the ones when i wrote down my goals at the time. if we go way back to the fifth grade, my #1 was to have a lot of friends. growing is funny that way, because as i’ve matured, i’ve focused not on the number but the value.
in high school, one of my closet friends kept a little black journal. she was constantly writing, drawing, and adding her brilliance. i really have her to thank. we would sit outside during study periods and write about everything. i’m not sure where her and her journals are now, but I hope she’s still filling them with her WONDROUS thoughts.
it’s the people who worked by my side that made me want to create. that brings us to my true point of why i began writing, english class. When chatgpt was just starting out, i pledged i would not let it damper my abilities. however, the temptation of laziness pulled me under, and i became reliant.
since becoming a college student, i’ve learned to put my foot down. ai is EXTREMELY powerful, but my mind is one-of-a-kind. i have original thoughts and ideas, ai is filled with solely copies. to reach my fullest potential, shortcuts will only cut my potential in half. this blog is a personal journey for me–hopefully for you too.
